Apply/For Applicants

If you're already doing work to strengthen your community and want to connect with others doing similar work across the Fraser Lowland, we'd love to hear from you.

Is This Right for You?

This might be a good fit if you're:

Already taking action

You're not just thinking about change - you're doing something. You've started something, you're showing up consistently, or you're holding space for others to participate.

Rooted in this place

You live and work in the Fraser Lowland. You know the people, the land, the rhythms of this region. Your work is connected to real communities here.

Oriented toward learning and collaboration

You value relationships and long-term thinking. You're willing to learn with others, share what you know, and be part of something bigger than your individual project.

You don't need formal credentials, organizational backing, or a polished pitch. We're looking for people who are trying, learning, and showing up - not people who have it all figured out.

If Your Project Is Selected for Funding (6-8 projects)

Ongoing support and documentation help as you carry out your work.

What's Expected

We're asking for genuine participation, not just attendance:

Show up

Join gatherings when you can, engage in the community space, share what you're learning.

Be in relationship

This isn't transactional. We're building community, which means being present with others, offering what you can, and receiving support when you need it.

Share your learning

Reflect on your work and be willing to share - through conversation, writing, or other forms that work for you.

Stay curious

Be open to learning with others across differences, trying new approaches, and discovering what becomes possible together.

Time Commitment

The time you invest depends on your level of participation:

You choose what feels right for where you are.

What Happens After You Apply

  1. Applications reviewed - A diverse group of community stewards reviews applications in January, looking for people who would meaningfully benefit from and contribute to this work.

  2. Everyone accepted joins the community - You'll receive an invitation to the online space and information about upcoming gatherings.

  3. Some invited into deeper intensives - Up to 32 people will be invited to participate in facilitated sessions in February.

  4. Collaborative selection of funded projects - The 32 participants use collaborative decision-making to choose 6-8 projects to receive funding.
